Building Their Own Future

Before launching DRTY Laundry, both brothers spent years building careers of their own.

Cole pursued the automotive industry and is currently working toward becoming a Red Seal Auto Body Technician.

Zack gained experience across multiple industries, earning certification to operate heavy machinery before moving into a management role within the RV industry.

While their careers looked different, their shared interest in fashion never disappeared.

A Shared Passion

What started as conversations quickly turned into late nights discussing vintage clothing, sneaker culture, brand history, and personal style.

They loved finding pieces with history behind them.

Every jacket.

Every pair of jeans.

Every graphic tee.

Everything had a story.

Eventually they realized they wanted to build something together.

DRTY Laundry

In 2026, they decided to stop talking about the idea and build it.

DRTY Laundry was founded around a simple belief:

Great clothing deserves another life.

Every piece is hand-selected with care, focusing on quality, authenticity, and timeless style.

But more importantly...

DRTY Laundry represents something much bigger than clothing.

It's proof that no matter where life begins, you can still build something meaningful.

A Family Found Again

In 2021, everything changed.

Through social media, Cole and one of his sisters managed to locate their siblings after years apart.

Phone calls became conversations.

Conversations became visits.

Strangers slowly became family again.

Especially, Cole and Zack, who immediately clicked.

Despite growing up apart, they shared many of the same interests, values, and personalities.

Our Roots

DRTY Laundry began long before the first vintage shirt was ever listed online.

Founders Zack McLennon and Cole Metcalfe are brothers. As children, they were separated by the child welfare system after growing up in an unsafe home in Peterborough, Ontario.

Along with their siblings, they were placed into different homes across Ontario, growing up without knowing where most of their family was.

For years, they lived completely separate lives.

Cole Metcalfe

Co-Founder

Cole has always had a passion for fashion, with a particular interest in modern streetwear, Y2K fashion, skate culture, and premium brands. His outgoing personality and ability to connect with people make him a natural at networking, sourcing inventory, and building relationships within the vintage community.

Cole also plays a leading role in DRTY Laundry's visual content, capturing and editing photos and videos that showcase the brand across social media. Outside of DRTY Laundry, he is pursuing his Red Seal certification in Auto Body Repair, bringing the same dedication and attention to detail into everything he does.

Zack Mcglennon

Co-Founder

Zack has had a passion for thrifting and vintage fashion for as long as he can remember. Fascinated by retro streetwear, iconic brands, and the history behind every garment, he has developed an instinct for quality—often recognizing the value of a piece simply by the feel of its fabric.

His resourcefulness and attention to detail make him an integral part of sourcing inventory, product photography, and DRTY Laundry's social media presence. Combined with years of hands-on work experience and a relentless work ethic, Zack helps ensure every piece that reaches DRTY Laundry meets the standards the brand was built on.

Jasmine Bernard

Business Strategist & Marketing Strategist

While DRTY Laundry is proudly owned by founders Cole Metcalfe and Zack McLennon, Jasmine Bernard serves as the company's Business & Marketing Strategist, supporting its growth behind the scenes.

A Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) graduate from Carleton University and professional artist, Jasmine helped bring the founders' vision to life by designing the DRTY Laundry logo. She also developed the company's website, business systems, and financial tracking tools, and continues to provide strategic guidance, business analysis, and marketing support as the company grows.
